Further Temporary Suspension of Gulf Air's Flights to Iran and Iraq
Gulf Air regrets to announce the further temporary suspension of its flights to and from all destinations in Iraq and Iran as below:
All destinations in Iraq up to and including 15 November 2011.
All destinations in Iran up to and including 30 November 2011.
The decision has been taken following the on-going security situation in the region.
Passengers, holding confirmed tickets for travel during these dates, can rebook for a later Gulf Air flight in the same booking class to the same destination for travel at no additional charge.
Gulf Air will endeavor, where possible, to transfer the booking/ticket to an alternative available airline for the same/next day travel to the same destination in the same class of travel.
Passengers can also get a full refund if they wish.

Temporary Reduction of Service to Kabul
Due to restrictions imposed by the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority, Gulf Air regrets to announce the temporary reduction of its service between Bahrain and Kabul from eight to four flights per week.
We hope to resume normal services as soon as possible.

Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge Renovation
As part of our customer service improvement initiatives, our Falcon Gold Lounge at Bahrain International Airport will be undergoing a major facelift to offer better facilities to our premium passengers.
As such, the lounge will be closed for renovation from 5 October for approximately eight weeks. Meanwhile, we will continue to offer the lounge facilities to our Falcon Gold passengers at an alternate lounge facility operated by Bahrain Airport Services.
While we regret the temporary inconvenience this may cause to enjoy our signature Gulf Air lounge facilities, we are looking forward to receiving our premium customers to the ‘new look’ Falcon Gold lounge offering state-of-the art features in a few weeks.

Change in rule for multiple entry visa holders in India
Effective immediately, all passengers holding a valid multiple entry tourist visa for India must comply with the following:
Passengers holding a multiple entry tourist visa for India are NOT permitted to enter India again within 60 days of their previous visit.
The 60 day period starts from the date passengers depart India. Passengers entering India before the 60-day period will be deported back on the return flight.

Additional security measures for Gulf Air passengers traveling to the US
The United States government has revised its security arrangements for all customers travelling into the US.
Only one item of hand luggage is allowed for all passengers travelling to the US.
This applies to all Gulf Air passengers, who are transferring flights from any Gulf Air flight to go to the US.
Passengers are requested to check in early enough to comply with the revised security measures.
Passengers travelling to destinations outside the United States or from the United States are not affected.
